This collaborative project was focused on improving the experience of long term pediatric patients in hospitals by decreasing the amount of stress they must endure. We did research into pinpointing where and when these patients experience stress and anxiety and then how to reduce and distract these triggers. With the help of embedded technology and sensors, we were able to prototype a hospital gown that would connect the patient to their environment, which would distract via sounds and custom lighting to relieve stress.
